About
Allan J. Ray was a lifelong resident of Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he was born and raised. He graduated from Phoenixville Area High School before relocating to Idaho to attend the University of Idaho, where he graduated with honors. He later returned to Pennsylvania to attend Penn State Dickinson School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Penn State Environmental Law Review. During law school, Al volunteered at Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania in Pottstown where he helped indigent individuals through civil and family law matters including child custody and support.
Allan joined Dolan Ray Law, LLC in January 2012 and dedicated his legal career to helping individuals and families through some of life's most difficult challenges. His practice focused on family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, relocation, and adoption, as well as Social Security Disability.
Known for his compassion, positive outlook, and commitment to his clients, Allan believed strongly in advocating for the rights of those he represented. In family law matters, he understood the emotional challenges facing parents and children and worked to provide thoughtful guidance and strong representation. In his Social Security Disability practice, he helped disabled individuals navigate the often-complex process of applying for and appealing disability benefits.
Allan took great pride in his work and in the difference he made in the lives of his clients. His dedication to the legal profession and the people he served earned him recognition on the Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars from 2022 through 2025.
Although Allan is no longer with us, his commitment to his clients, his compassion for others, and the legacy he built through his legal career remain an important part of Dolan Ray Law, LLC.
